Editorial Policy

This policy explains how 89 Digital creates, reviews and maintains the content on this website — our articles, guides and service pages. Our aim is simple: everything we publish should be accurate, useful, and written by people who genuinely do this work.

Who writes our content

All content is produced by 89 Digital’s two founding partners — Ian Fraser, Technical Lead, and Hayley Fraser, Digital Strategist. Between them they bring more than two decades of hands-on experience in WordPress and WooCommerce development, website performance, SEO, AI search (GEO) and Google Ads. Every article carries a visible byline and links to the author’s profile, so you always know who wrote what.

How we use AI

We use AI tools to help with research, drafting and editing — but never to publish unchecked. Every piece of content is directed, reviewed and approved by a named human expert before it goes live. AI helps us work faster; it doesn’t replace our judgement, and we don’t publish anything we wouldn’t stand behind ourselves.

Sources and fact-checking

When we make a technical or factual claim, we base it on authoritative sources — official documentation such as Google, WordPress and WooCommerce, recognised web standards, and, wherever possible, results we’ve seen directly in our own client work. Where it helps, we link to primary sources so you can verify them yourself.

Accuracy, updates and freshness

The web changes quickly, and so does good advice. We review our content periodically and update it when platforms, best practices or our own recommendations change. Each article shows a “Last updated” date so you can see how current it is.

Corrections

We work hard to get things right, but if you spot an error we want to know. Email us at hello@89.digital and we’ll review it promptly. When we make a material correction to a published article, we update the content and its “Last updated” date.

Independence and disclosure

Our recommendations are based on what we believe genuinely serves our clients and readers, not on commercial incentives. Where we mention our own services — such as our managed hosting or Plans — we make that relationship clear. We don’t run paid guest posts or accept payment to feature third-party products.
